At the end of 2019 Aaro were awarded the contract for the Culvert and Pipeline Rehabilitation and Construction Services on the Arc Infrastructure Regional Rail Network.
The project commenced pre-cleaning and inspections in January 2020, after meticulously programming the works to ensure efficiency in mobilisation of the three work fronts, as distance between locations was a large factor in ensuring the relining was completed on time with no impact to Arc’s operations. Relining of the culverts began in February 2020, with the crew starting in Mullewa.
There were a total of 16 locations spread across Regional Western Australia, from the Mid-West in Geraldton to the Greater Southern region in Tambellup.
The Reinforced Concrete Pipes ranged in size from DN375 to DN1200 and were all relined using UV GRP CIPP Liner. A cumulative total of 345m was relined across 37 culverts.
