Aaro was proud to be awarded the contract for the Reconstruction of the Onslow Stormwater Ocean Outlets project by the Shire of Ashburton. The project was essential to extend the drainage for the townsite and replace severely deteriorated assets.

Project Scope:

Removal of existing rock armour
Removal of old drainage systems
Installation of new drainage and headwalls with flood gates
Reinstatement and additional placement of rock armour

One of the main challenges encountered during the project was the daily tidal movements. However, through careful planning and by scheduling alternative tasks during high tides, Aaro was able to complete the project within the required timeframe.
